AXE-CON 2026: The International Conference on Digital Accessibility

This year, our Association will take part in axe-con 2026, taking place online on February 24-25.

The free, virtual conference is organized by Deque Systems and is considered one of the leading international events dedicated to digital accessibility. Over two days, the program brings together developers, designers, decision-makers, and accessibility professionals to explore current challenges and practical solutions.

The agenda features more than forty sessions covering topics from technical implementation to organization-wide accessibility strategies. Areas of focus include automated accessibility testing, accessible design systems, regulatory compliance, and the intersection of AI and inclusive technology.

Among the keynote speakers are internationally recognized experts such as Rana el Kaliouby and Haben Girma, who will address the broader relationship between technology and social inclusion.

For us, staying actively engaged in the international accessibility community is an essential part of our mission. Following the conference, we will publish a separate post summarizing the sessions we attended and highlighting insights that can be meaningfully applied in our local context and in the work of Lumen Communitas.
